Milk is a good source of potassium, vitamin D, calcium and protein to name a few. There is a range of different types of milk, skim, lite and full cream milk are our main focus below.
The cow is milked and then the milk is put into a machine called a centrifugal separator which separates some or all of the fat out of the milk, it is then put in insulated truck and taken from the farms.
Skim milk has less than half a gram of fat per serving. Lite milk is produced in a similar way but has more nutrients than skim milk.
Full cream milk, otherwise known as whole milk.
Full cream milk is 3.5% milk fat, the fatty acids in full cream milk are important to the development of the brain and the nervous system.
